We’re excited to announce that The Smarter House is now an authorized Kaleidescape dealer. For our clients, that means we can design and install home theaters around the movie player many enthusiasts consider the best way to watch films at home.
What is Kaleidescape?
Kaleidescape is a movie player and store built for private theaters and media rooms. Instead of streaming a compressed version of a movie over the internet, Kaleidescape downloads the full movie to a server in your home. The result is picture and sound that match what you’d get from a 4K Blu-ray disc, with the convenience of a digital library.
Why it’s different from streaming
- No compression: streaming services compress video and audio to save bandwidth. Kaleidescape delivers 4K HDR movies with lossless audio, including Dolby Atmos.
- No buffering: movies play from your own storage, so picture quality doesn’t drop when your internet slows down.
- Your library, beautifully organized: browse your collection by cover art, jump straight to favorite scenes, and keep everything in one place.
- Built for the theater: Kaleidescape integrates with professional control systems like Control4, so one button can dim the lights, lower the screen, and start the movie.
Who it’s for
If you’ve invested in a dedicated theater, a high-end projector or display, or a surround sound system, streaming is often the weakest link. Kaleidescape lets the rest of your system perform at its best.
Designing your theater around Kaleidescape
We design, install, and calibrate complete home theaters and media rooms, from speakers and screens to lighting and one-touch control. As a direct dealer for Triad, TruAudio, Next Level Acoustics, and Stewart Filmscreen, and now an authorized Kaleidescape dealer, we can build a system that looks and sounds the way the filmmakers intended.
